We’ll blame it on the peanut butter – not just a little bit spread lightly on a banana (one of my favourite ways to enjoy both bananas and peanut butter) but:
I went to the gym, more about that later, ate decently for most of the day, but when bedtime rolled around, so did the siren call of the peanut butter jar. It seems to yell loudest in the middle of the night, and I am often awake at that time.
It’s easy to say “I will not have any peanut butter tonight” when I’m semi-sane and in my right mind – but when I’m sleep deprived or half asleep – I just seem to auto-pilot my way to the cupboard.
I’m not sure what the solution is – the peanut butter is a shared commodity – but tonight I’m going to be in bed by 10 pm. and I’m taking something that I hope will not only put me to sleep but keep me asleep as well!
The good news is that I didn’t gain any weight this week. The not so good side of that is that I didn’t lose any either.
However, I did go to the gym and do a “sweaty” workout 4 times and I’m on deck to do it again this week.
I’ve made some of that “cabbage” soup, (with spinach instead of cabbage) and a pan of mousakka from the gals at “Eat, Shrink and be Merry”. It’s divided up and in the freezer too, so I don’t have to cook for a few weeks. As it is, I’m out of containers, so I’ll have to empty some first.
So here’s to a week with less peanut butter in it, more healthy meals that I’ve prepared myself and some downward movement on the scales next week!
