Coming Home Hungry

For a while I was buying muffins at work.  Budget wise they were a great deal – only 69 cents, and though they don’t look quite like this (I only bought the “low fat” raisin bran kinds most of the time)  I did buy quite a few over the last half year or so.  I think many of them have moved in and taken up residence on my hips and thighs.

However, on Friday I took out some money for my “party tithe”   It’s been sitting in my wallet ever since.  Not only have they not had the muffins, but I really don’t consider them worth breaking my $30 for.  Funny how that works or at least has been working for me lately.  Instead I’ve been bringing sensible food from home (soup, half grapefruits, home-baked muffins, like the pumpkin bran muffins you can find the recipe for here, cottage cheese and pineapple, salad and so on.)

I haven’t made it to the gym yet, but I plan to enjoy myself there tomorrow!  Life returns to normal again and so does my coffee!

Have a good day!

About Marcia Stehouwer

I have a great life (most days) and a small budget, so being frugal is one of my favourite hobbies. I started this blog after procrastinating for 3 months, on April Fool's Day. I knit, I read, I knit, I work... I am also about a quarter of the way through my goal to lose 100 pounds. So between knitting, working, reading etc., I also do some walking!
