Moving Forward with Gratitude!



This is exactly what I did this week.  I have been unable to attend meetings since I started teaching at the end of April.  It’s been showing and I may have gained as much weight as my granddaughter has over the past year.

Of course there’s always reason to procrastinate, and procrastinate I did.

On Wednesday, in spite of papers and babies due, I got out of my house, into my car, and drove to my new chapter.

As part of the program, the presenter mentioned “Gratitude Journals”.  I like gratitude journals – or joy journals.  I haven’t however, been consistent in keeping one.  I decided to start and was able to find a nice one on sale.  Last night as part of my teaching class, I heard about gratitude journals again as a way of changing your self talk.

Now my self-talk when I get home from work revolves around food – “To Eat or Not to Eat” is the debate that runs through my head at night.  I’m hoping that the combination of “tea + journal” will make a difference.  It certainly did last night!
