Scavenging the Farmer’s Market.

Today I had a great boxing class. We did 1;45 minute planks.  Well, I did mine from the knees but I managed to stay up for most of the time!  I’ll start working on 2 minute planks next!  All of which goes to show that if you practice, you will get better.  While I’m not terrifically fond of the warm-ups (Polish boxing, jump squats, burpees and whatever else Big Dave can think up) or the abs work, I am getting better at them.  It amazes me every time that I can go faster those last few seconds.

After that I had to RUN to catch the bus.  And folks, I ran.  And I caught the bus to the farmer’s market.  Because it’s Mardi Gras they did a scavenger hunt, and I was delighted with all the variety that I could find – and that was just the mushrooms.  To do the scavenger hunt I had to take 10 pictures and upload them to FB. I think I did it, but just to cover myself (There are prizes involved!)  I am going to download them here too!

If your meals are getting a bit boring, check out the Farmer’s Market.  There’s lots to enjoy!

The strawberries at Whole Earth! THe Soup Freezer at Primal Eats! The Orca Fish Co. Check out their case! The New Coffe Roasterie The guys at the Big Catch - great presentation! The Chef at Pranzo Italiano - great soup! My Choice - the bakery at the door - Lots of samples! I like buying loose Meyers at Market Fresh! Hoven's Logo- They went all out for the decorations! Fresh Produce - Lunds

There are fresh fruit, veggies, fish, chicken, organic meats, sushi, Italian food, locally roasted coffee, and so very much more to tempt the palate!

My recommendation – check out what’s local and make the journey to health more interesting!

Keep moving!

About Marcia Stehouwer

I have a great life (most days) and a small budget, so being frugal is one of my favourite hobbies. I started this blog after procrastinating for 3 months, on April Fool's Day. I knit, I read, I knit, I work... I am also about a quarter of the way through my goal to lose 100 pounds. So between knitting, working, reading etc., I also do some walking!
