Well it was TOPS night, and after missing two weeks it was nice to get on the scale. I showed a modest loss of 2 pounds, which means that I will end the year “officially” in the 220’s.
I know, I had such high hopes for this project of losing a pound a week. And if you look at life by the numbers, I failed miserably.
However, I know this to be true – that I did not fail at everything – and I did accomplish some of my goals. What may be even more important is the stuff that I worked through underneath – the self caring, the acceptance of reality and the willingness to forge ahead and create a different reality.

I’m excited about the coming year – there will be more changes. I will be eating lots more salad for sure. That is important for me. And I’m going to eat to live. And sometimes I’m going to eat for the sheer enjoyment of new flavours and new experiences.
