End of the Birthday Festivities…

Ice Cream Dessert

Ice Cream Dessert (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Today our family gathered here in Calgary to celebrate birthdays – especially mine andmy dad’s.  He turned 80 yesterday.  Emma brought baguette and dips which were very delicious.  Gerald supplied the main course, and we of course supplied dessert.  I bought the cake and Ingrid the ice-cream.

I love pralines and cream ice-cream.  A lot.  And if I bring a box home, I can guarantee that I will finish that box.  And….I will finish it fast.  Especially if it has gone kind of softish.  My solution is this – whenever we have a family feast, I supply the ice-cream.  And should there be any ice-cream left, it stays there.  I don’t bring it home.  But I sure did enjoy it today.

About Marcia Stehouwer

I have a great life (most days) and a small budget, so being frugal is one of my favourite hobbies. I started this blog after procrastinating for 3 months, on April Fool's Day. I knit, I read, I knit, I work... I am also about a quarter of the way through my goal to lose 100 pounds. So between knitting, working, reading etc., I also do some walking!
