There’s a shot of the soup I was working on for most of the morning. There’s an other picture over at 5ColourParachute where I try to explain how this particular pot full was concocted. One of my challenges with calorie counting is that I so seldom make the same thing the same way twice. I just know what’s in it – in this case quinoa, adzuki beans and lots and lots of vegetables.
On the plus side of my day: A great breakfast, including a nicely poached egg before the gym, a good workout because I had time for it, freshly baked muffins, and lots of vegetables in my soup and salad.
On the minus side: The last of the holiday snacking, putting away the Christmas ornaments, and Canada losing to the Russians tonight.
What do you do when the score is 6-1 against you? Do you throw in the towel? Grasp at any crazy straw that presents itself? Or do you just keep doing what you know you should do?
I hope that tomorrow there won’t be anything on the minus side!
